Filmstrip Mode: A Cinematic Way to View Your Photos

Immerse yourself in your memories with the new Filmstrip mode, a continuous, cinematic scroll of your photos.

PictaCast Team

Following up on our recent releases of Scrapbook Mode and Timeline View, we're excited to introduce another way to experience your photos: Filmstrip Mode.

While Scrapbook mode is perfect for that chaotic, organic feel, and standard mode gives you a clean grid, Filmstrip mode is all about the journey. It's designed to make looking through your photos feel like watching a continuous piece of film.

Why Filmstrip Mode?

When you have a collection of photos from an event—a wedding, a vacation, or just a fun day out—they tell a story. Viewing them one by one or in a dense grid can sometimes break that narrative flow. Filmstrip mode lines them up side-by-side, allowing you to seamlessly glide through your memories.

Key Features

  • Smooth Scrolling: Effortlessly pan left and right through your collection, maintaining the context of what comes before and after each photo.
  • Immersive Experience: The focus remains on the images themselves, beautifully framed and presented in a continuous horizontal flow.
  • Perfect for Casting: This mode looks incredibly sleek when cast to a TV, providing a modern, gallery-like feel to your slideshows.
